“Picture Perfect” – Taking Great Pictures with your Digital Camera
New CameraShy Course – beginning August 2011
Do you want to be a photographer?
Not a professional… just someone who knows how to get a great picture of your own kids/trip to Italy/backyard – whatever!
Perhaps you consider yourself an enthusiastic amateur?
Friends are always telling you what great pictures you take but you feel a bit of a fraud because they’re all shot in auto (now how did I do that again?)
You own this awesome digital camera but have no clue how to use all the features
You’re not into reading manuals – heck life’s waaaay too short to try and figure those things out.
You’ve tried to read the books & blogs but just need a little guidance and feedback.
If someone could just TELL you what this button does and how to achieve that blurry background you drool over…
You’d love to pursue your photography hobby but lack the time to head out to a class.
You just know you can do more with your camera. If only you had someone to help you, someone who understands what it is that you need to know without all the jargon and all without leaving home!
I can help you!
If any of the above sounds like you, and you fancy putting in a bit of work (it is a workshop after all) I can guarantee you that I’ll help you bring your photography to the next level in my new online workshop – “Picture Perfect” – Taking Great Pictures with your Digital Camera
I’ve been teaching people how to get the best out of their cameras and improve their photographic skills for over 10 years now. It’s my mission in life! I believe that everyone can be a photographer. Everyone can possess the “photographer’s eye” With a little guidance, feedback and someone to translate that darn camera manual you too can start to take the photos that you see in your mind’s eye.
In my next online workshop we’ll be specifically focusing on Compact/Point & Shoot Camera users. So if you know you are using about 1/10th of your camera’s functionality and you want to get more than just a snapshot out of it, then this course is for you.
Some of the topics we’ll cover are:
Composition – How to put together a great shot
Lighting and Exposure – Getting it right
What does this button do? – Your camera explained
Introduction to the advanced modes, editing and sharing
Ok – sounds like my type of thing! Now tell me again….
What is it? An Online, fully interactive 4 week photography workshop
Where do I have to be? Online – a computer near you! Access to a Phone or your computer if you have a mic and speakers
When do need to show up? We’ll meet live (online) for 4 weeks in August beginning Monday 8th of August at 8pm Eastern for a webinar where I’ll introduce the materials, answer questions and give the assignment for the week.
The following day you will receive your course notes by email so no problem if you can’t attend live the night before. You’ll have the notes to refer back to for ever and ever! (many of my past students tell me they hang on to my notes and refer to them often!) Homework assignments need to be submitted by Friday evening and you will receive feedback on your work back from me before class on Monday.
Who is this course for? Anyone with a compact camera. Advanced modes are useful but not necessary. If you are in doubt send me an email ingrid [at] camerashy [dot] info and I’ll advise you if this course is for you or if you might be better suited to something else.
How Much? The workshop costs $197 per person. Class size is limited in order to make sure I can give everyone enough attention, so don’t delay in signing up if you think your interested!
Yes I’m interested! What do I need to do now?
