Critique Week 15 – Classic

This week’s theme was “Classic”  – an easy one or so I thought. And our image up for critique was submitted by Liz Forrester. You can check out Liz’s other work on her blog From a Prairie Trail

Image Stats: Shutter Speed; 1/500 sec

                           Aperture f/4.8

                             ISO 200

Liz did a really great job at interpreting the theme and I feel captured it very well.

Delicate: Weekly Photo Challenge Critique

This week’s photo is an image submitted by Denise Asbury for week 13’s theme: Delicate

Denise Asbury

Image Stats: ISO 125

Shutter Speed: 1/4000

Aperture f/4.5

I decided to feature this image this week as I think it demonstrates how we don’t necessarily need to be surrounded by complete beauty to take a beautiful photo.

Take 52 Weekly Photo Challenge – Week 12: Score

For this week’s theme I thought we were about to be inundated with sports shots and although this week’s image is absolutely of a sport I consider this more of an abstract shot.

Take 52 Weekly Photo Challenge Week 11 Critique

This week’s theme was Unlucky and I had a hard time picking an image to critique as there were so many awesome ones in the group.

Take 52 Weekly Photo Challenge week 11

Shutter Speed: 1/125

Aperture: f/4

ISO: 400

I love this particular shot of Wendy Dunne’s as it reminds me of my childhood and the game we used to play when walking home from school – trying to avoid stepping on the cracks in the footpath.

#take52 Weekly Photo Challenge Week 10: Angles

This week’s theme was a nice easy one! Angles are everywhere – as soon as you start to look for them.

Shutter Speed: 1/125

Aperture: f/4.0

ISO: 100

I chose the above picture to critique by Julio Rivera as I felt he did a great job capturing angles and used editing to his advantage to do so by changing his image to black and white.

#take52 Weekly Photo Challenge-Critique Week 9 – Roots

This week the theme was Roots which could have many conations.  I’ve chosen this image below taken by Tommy Polnaszek

two little boys sitting on rocks and roots fishing in a river

Shutter Speed:1/2500

Aperture:f2.8

ISO:100

as it indeed said “Roots” in many ways.

Take a look at the video below to hear my brief critique.
